Banning Guns on Playgrounds-Common Sense?

While catching up on daily events occurring in the area by looking through the News and Observer page, I stumbled upon an article titled "Morrisville council bans guns on playgrounds." The title caught my eye due to the assumption that people who typically go to playgrounds wouldn’t usually carry guns with them, which sparked my interest in wondering why this topic came up. The article is well done in explaining the issues behind the cause for banning guns, as well as providing a full view of the fact that just because they are officially ‘banned’ doesn’t necessarily mean that gun violence will come to an end.
